A Stylish Winter Wedding at Headlam Hall

March 19, 2023

Sas & Chris chose the beautiful Headlam Hall in Darlington as the backdrop to their wedding celebrations. From the abundance of florals and candles, Sarah’s absolutely knock out of a dress by Sassi Holford and the elegant black tie theme, their wedding was the perfect way to kick off my 2023 wedding season.

At the heart of this beautiful, North East wedding were deep, meaningful connections. Connection between Sarah & Chris, their families and their incredibly close group of friends. A truly beautiful aspect was how many present really allowed themselves to feel their emotions without the need to dilute or hide them. The sentiment behind the moment shared between Sas, her mum & her sister as they each bestowed the most meaningful gifts before the ceremony. Chris’s mum, whose eyes would fill and overflow with tears each time she looked at her son. Chris’ deep breath before he turned to see Sas walking towards him down the aisle.

But also, this winter wedding was so much fun! Sas & Chris had really considered how they could add to their guest’s experiences during the day by the addition of music & entertainment. A highlight of the day was the surprise performance by The West End Singing Waiters who had been secretly booked by the groom, Chris. Everyone one was taken aback by the spontaneous outburst of song after the speeches and the dynamic range of songs had everyone on their chairs waving their napkins around in one moment, to quietly crying in awe the next!
