The weddings that I love to photograph the most are the ones that are true to you. That are more about your connection & love and less about following the traditional conventions and ticking off all the musts and shoulds of a wedding.
If a traditional affair with a formal cutting of the cake, tossing the bridal bouquet and tin cans tied to the back of the car is all you've ever dreamed of, I would love to capture the ways that you've put your heart and soul into it. But if you're more off-piste and dream of doing a tandem bungee jump, wearing a modern bridal jumpsuit or even eloping just the two of you, if it's true to the both of you, count me in.
Jamsine & Jerome married at Iscoyd Park in late summer. A naturally affectionate and style-conscious couple, their day was relaxed and centred around enjoying organic moments and heart-felt celebrations with their guests, as well as making time to get a few knock-out shots of the two of them together. A family home turned wedding venue, Iscoyd Park is a classic Georgian house elevated to wedding day worthy perfection. The perfect backdrop for golden hour gorgeousness.
"I don't even have words to thank you. I could not have picked someone better to be everything that I needed on my wedding day."
Carl and Gabriella were an absolute vibe. After sharing their vision, they completely trusted in my creativity and we collaborated to create these insanely cool photographs whilst they strutted around a truly Mancunian backdrop. Looking like absolute rockstars, this shoot was just perfectly them and the best way for them to get completely comfortable in front of the camera before their big day.
"Carl hates having his photo taken so I was worried that none of them were going to be good. But now we're super excited to have you on the wedding day!
Sherylyn and Harry married at the glorious Isola del Garda, a luxury and exclusive wedding venue on a private island on Lake Garda, Italy. Timeless and impressive with an editorial twist, the estate offered many a romantic window for an equally romantic ‘just married’ kiss and the extravagant grounds were the perfect opportunity to play with shadows and catch those Italian sunshine shots. Harry literally never stopped smiling, but with a new wife as gorgeous as Sherylyn, inside and out, who could blame him?
"I could not have wished for a better photographer! You were the best addition and clicked perfectly into the flow of our day."
On a fresher than usual Summer day, I met the nervous couple and just ten of their closest family members at The Secret Tower in Newcastle for one my most intimate yet powerful weddings yet. Wearing a perfectly-fitting Pronovias gown, Sam was walked down the aisle by her teraful dad. Phil's face as he first set eyes on his bride-to-be was literally a picture, and the short-but-sweet ceremony was nothing short of perfect.
"You weren't only our photographer but a calm, friendly presence, our page boy's new best friend and a special person that is now forever a part of our love story."
‘Spread love, it's the Brooklyn way.’
Nicole and Luis made my wedding photography dream a reality when they booked me to shoot their fairytale in New York wedding. They said their I do’s at the elegant Williamsburg hotel, a boutique venue right in the heart of the bustling city, and the perfect location to shoot a breathtaking bride and an equally stunning view. After stopping traffic all over Brooklyn, the couple took their hero shot on the famous Brooklyn Bridge and my life was officially made. FYI, I have a passport and I’m not afraid to use it.
"Rebecca captured moments that I never would have thought to look for, like my dress swishing while dancing or my husband carrying my dress."
