Calista & Tom were set up by mutual friends, after Calista had just come out of a long relationship and wasn’t looking for anything at all (her friends were urging her to go on the date for “practise & free food!”)
Almost instantly, they clicked. And it just moved really quickly from there. Calista moved from the centre of Leeds out into the country, they bought a barn conversion together after 6 months and did a full renovation project which cemented the relationship as it was the hardest and most challenging time so early on into the relationship. Four years later, Tom proposed at his uncle’s house in Cornwall when they went on holiday. His uncle had built it on the seafront but sadly died during the pandemic before it was finished, so Tom wanted to make some happy memories there.
The vibe of the wedding was modern country/old venue meets modern styling mixed with cosy autumn winter. Lots of fresh foliage and candle light with pops of black decor. All day long, we all lived up to the British Stereotype by remarking on how glorious the weather was! The clear, bright blue skies and crisp fresh air really made it the perfect day for a winter wedding.
Calista loved the beautiful candid romantic shots that feel quite editorial too with lots of tulle details from the dress and veil.
